I spent most of the day looking for a job....
its mildly depressing ...I find it hard to find any job worth applying to and when I do, I won't even get a responce back from the company.

any way it seems like there are slightly more jobs lately and the economy is picking up a bit. but it still seems like every job is 500 to 1.

I need a way to make my resumes more targeted and force companies to take notice of me!

The Trick is to get through the initial HR crap layer and get directly to a manager......
but that is hard to do as you ussually need a reference from inside the company.....

sigh anyways...

I think I might go out on the canal tonight ...that would be nice..:D

you know what is really needed.

a generalized GIS framework.

current GIS software is way to expencive....
GIS is way usefull and way to expencive
the time is right for a low cost GIS system.
one that would have easy hooks for Import and Export fillters, as well as interfaces for a veriaty of PDA's and hooks for buisness specific logic, calculations.


I was looking for a job today found quite a few interesting jobs.....I'm happy about that .....but I don't think I will get anything out of them

a month ..err almost
so yah :
* Connie Came back from her trip on the 9th that was good
* then there was a mad rush by me to buy presents especially for her...:)
* I spent x-mas day with my parents and had to work on the 24th and teh 26th that sucked shit! But hey what you going to do?
* Then I got Deathly Ill and had to stay home from work for a few days As I was hardly able to stand or talk...I blame connie and think she gave me Sars, or I blame the unsanitary working conditions at work (some times I feel Like I work in a 3rd wrold country whre workers have no rights).
* we Finally got our computer back from Eric, I t was running fine at his house and within 45min of getting it home it rebooted YAY!
* Dave came over to stay for a few days....and he took Lots of Pictures.
* Then Sacha came down Snatch is always fun....:D ...(I am so clever to amuse myself)...and we saw "G" on newyears and we went to the works
* Then We saw Jeramie and (person who's name I forget, but Its ok because they were connies friends not mine..:D ) for newyears eve which was fun......
* the electrition came today and said the problem was just a lose screw....so we hope this will fix the computer reboot problem.....

I am starting to feel better today and I think I am about 90% over my cold, We still need to go down to connie's parents for xmas ...I suppose we will get around to that next weekend.....10th 11th 12th.....

any way thats a month in the life of howie

Sigh ...Connies still gone on her trip to sunday, she doesn't come back till tuesday and I am not livinga really full life without her ....I am so lazy without somebody to motivate me...
anyway I am playing around with the gallery again but don't expect any changes anytime soon but there is now a link to the Main Web site....:) happy eric.....
any way I was allso thinking about the uslessness of the new RR website I'm goint to have to suppport like what the hell were they thinking?? an entire flash website and we don't support flash...dumbasses everyoone of them....the only people I have ever heard of making an entirely flash website is the movie industry....Grr I always thought web standards were a good thing .....silly me.....anyway I think my talk times are coming down and I am remebering the corporate bullshit they tell me to pump into the customer all the time more , all and all I would say I am becoming a good little corporate Pion.

I nearly blew up on a Mod today....I really get Pissed at the way they tell us to handle dial access calls....I mean what the hell is the point ....this guy had an old laptop without a network card and he didn't have any other dialup service providor and he wanted rr dial access on his laptop....but he had no way to put it there ... because the computer has be connected to the Internet when dial access is installed.....I all I had to do was look up a number for his area, and then help him configure his windows dialer....
sigh the MOD would not let me do this ...it pissed me off...and when I told the customer this it pissed him off....G I wonder why ....any way thats my ditch for today....

I went to see my brother today....we watched football (US thanksgiving) most of the day and had some pizza...it was good the first game was close and rather exiting (Detroit over Greenbay) the second was a blowout (miami over Dalas) any way it had been so long since I watched Football on a regular basis it was weird ...

But I do really still love watching the games I had a good time watching the NFL and when I watched the Grey cup this year it was totally fun to...oh well....back to work in the moring.....

I am updating my picture album, using some new PHP based software call gallery I found.
Anyway once I figure out how to template to make it look like the rest of my site I will do just that and integrate it into my site, unil then the old picture gallery is here, and the new one is here.

on another note I think my job is final starting to get to me.I almost snapped on a MOD yesterday, whe nhe told me that it wasn't our problemthat we broke this girls computer, I often feel like the customer's just need this help and we are refusing to give it to them because we don't want to admit it was our fault.....sigh....

I have researched the problem and have discovered that rudy can indead post messages and make fun of me all he wants.

aparently I set up a message board a while ago and just like my blog...I have never really used it....
I actually think I setup this blog cause The Message board was to complicated....but meh..I never deleted it and its still there so ....ther you go....:-)

So Yah Rudy Found my Blog and started making fun of me...
he said he wanted to reply to my posts...and stuff to make fun of me....
I told him I would look into it....
anyway it has been a while since my last post...er like a long while

So New News.....I have a job now at Convergys (stock) I am doing technial help desk support at the for Road Runner they are a cable Internet Service providor in the States....
I like the job, its fun...I seem to like helping people...but yah it don't pay very much and its hard to make ends meat much less get ahead.....

so anyway I've been unemployed for almost 3 months now.
this is really starting to suck, I am getting boardout of my mind, I just want a job soon, any jobe really.
My dad told me I should look into Uneployment Insurance again so I did and they told me the same thing, they can't let me have any money....sigh... I suppose that is life

So yah I just spent several hours setting up This blog on my website, I don't know if I will ever use it.

I probably should have spent this time packing but hey thats life, so anyway I am moving on Saturday the30th into my new place, I still don't have a job, I hope to hear from the guys at NRC soon that looked like a way cool job an I know I would rock at it anyway thats all
